  OCTOBER 7, 2024 --

Wallingford Grange had a highly successful fair in September with a beautiful sunny day to host the fair, the building and Grange grounds were full of happy people exploring the fair and the many activities offered. Thank you to all who came out for the fair, musician BobbyLoo for putting on wonderful live music, our fair exhibit judges, the non- profits and craft vendors who came out, and all who helped run the many different booths at the fair. Finally, a huge congratulations goes out to our Wallingford Grange Fair committee including Kathy Bergonzi, the head chairperson, and all members of it for putting out another amazing fair! We look forward to hosting the fair again next year on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Coming up in October, Wallingford Grange will be hosting a couple of events. First, a presentation about “The Complexities of Cheese,” on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6pm-8pm, will be led by Caseus Provisions. Registration for the event will be opening soon with tickets $5 per person. At this event, you will be able to learn about the many different types of chesses and the history of cheese. You will even be able to try some samples of cheese during this discussion. Second, we will be hosting a FREE Halloween themed Ghost Lanterns Activity on October 29th. If you want to add a little bit of extra spook to your front door on Halloween night or have fun creating a new Halloween decoration, come make a recycled milk jug into a spooky fun ghost lantern.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Maker Monday - April

Monday, April 21, 2025

6:30 p.m.

Join us twice a month at the Wallingford Grange Hall where you can do the craft of your choice and stay for the socialization, or we can teach you how to piece a quilt. These gatherings are open to all! You don’t have to be a grange member or a quilter to join. Quilts of Valor Program offers comforting quilts to veterans of all wars. The program is continuing to work towards making more finished quilts for now and in the future. If you know a veteran or service member who should be presented with a quilt, please nominate them using this form: https://bit.ly/3tzdgDL . For more information, please contact Aili McKeen at ailimckeen@gmail.com or at 203-671-4089.
